Sheffield Steelers Post Game Review

It was as comfortable as a game could be for the Steelers as they dominated all 60 minutes against the Flyers.

It was 2 goals for the Steelers in the first period courtesy of Kevin Schulze and Tanner Eberle.

The first goal coming at 12.03 when Evan Mosey found a cross ice pass to set up Schulze who had all the time in the world to shoot short side on Flyers goalie Shane Owen and put us in front.

The second goal coming at 17.46. The goal originated via a shot towards goal from Davey Phillips which hit the man in front and it fell nicely for Eberle to finish from point blank range.

The Steelers taking a 2 goal lead into the second period.

The second period started with an exchange of penalties with the Steelers taking advantage of their opportunity at 35.20 when Justin Hodgman found Matias Sointu at the back post with with all the space needed to see it home.

75 seconds later and it was 4-0 for the Steelers as Adrian Saxrud Danielsen was once again on the scoresheet as he went back and forth with Evan Mosey to put the puck home at an open back post.

It was 5-past at 38.48 as Matias Sointu continued his scoring run (what a start to his Steelers career!), Justin Hodgman with the good work down the right wing who went in on Owen but found Sointu as the backdoor who again found all the space to slot it home.

A comfortable 5-0 lead heading into the final period.

The Steelers went into cruise-control in the 3rd period and finished the game off at 58.53 with a 6th goal when Anthony Deluca found himself at the left wing hash marks, spun on the spot and fired it low past Owen.
