Comedy royalty Peter Kay returned to Utilita Arena Sheffield this weekend, marking a huge milestone, his 10th performance of his Better Late Than Never Tour at the venue watched by over 120,000 fans, officially making it the longest run and most attended comedy tour in the Arena’s history.

Since first stepping onto the Sheffield stage back in 2023, Peter has brought laughter to tens of thousands of fans. Each visit has been met with packed crowds, standing ovations, and unforgettable moments. His appearances have become a true highlight of the Arena’s calendar, and we couldn’t be prouder to welcome him back once again for this landmark show.

One of Britain’s most beloved comedians, Peter’s long-awaited return to stand-up has been nothing short of phenomenal. His record-breaking UK tour, his first in twelve years, has sold out arenas across the country, earning him countless standing ovations.

Peter’s 2010 tour still officially holds the Guinness World Record as the biggest selling comedy tour of all time, playing to over 1.2 million people. From his record-breaking residencies at Manchester’s AO Arena and London’s The O2 to this milestone 10th show of the tour in Sheffield, Peter continues to cement his place as one of the greatest comedians of all time.

Dom Stokes, General Manager at Utilita Arena Sheffield presented Peter Kay with the venues Star Award on stage at the weekend in front of another sold out Sheffield show.

Dom said:

“It’s been an absolute joy to host Peter Kay here in Sheffield time and time again. To see him reach his 10th show of the tour at the Arena is a real moment of pride for our team. The laughter, the energy, and the love in the Arena every night have been incredible, there’s no one quite like Peter Kay.”

The Arena Star Award is given to artists that perform 10 shows at the venue in recognition of this outstanding achievement – this new award was launched in November 2025 with McFly the very first recipients.
